Columbus was born in Genoa,Italy in 1451.The first time he ever went to sea nearly cost him his whole life. He participated in several other expeditions to africa gaining knowledge of the Atlantic flowing east and west.Columbus was credited for opening a shorter route to Asia,he was also blamed for the destruction of the native people.Columbus shipped was burned down so he him and his team had to swim to the portuguese shore and make his way to libson. Columbus died May 20 of 1506.
