St. Patrick's Day

1. St.Patrick was  5th century Romano-British Christian missionary and bishop in Ireland.

2. What began as a religious feast day for the patron saint of Ireland has become an international festival celebrating irish culture with parades, dancing, special foods, and a whole lot of green.

3.Traditions holds that he died 17 of March and was buried at Downpatrick. Over the following centuries, many legends grew up around Patrick and he became Ireland's foremost saint.

4. In the 1700's green replaced blue and became the official color for Ireland
